Illusion City came out in 1991 on Sharp's X68000, a Japanese home computer famous for its arcade-quality graphics and sound. It was never released in English.

About the port
Rather than rewriting the game by hand, the port runs the original program and rebuilds everything around it: the X68000's processor, operating system, graphics, its YM2151 FM synthesizer and ADPCM sound.
The English text replaces the Japanese as the game shows each message, so the story and the game itself stay exactly as Microcabin made them.
Controls
- Mouse, cursor keys, Enter, Space and Esc
- The numeric keypad and F1 to F10
- A gamepad works as the X68000's joystick
- Shift+F9 pauses
